Hello my name is Maurice Thomas. I'm originally from Pasadena CA, been here in Monterey County for 9 years and employed by MPUSD as a Family Services Specialist at Seaside Middle School for 8 years. I enjoy being of service to all students and families.

- Facilitate student groups and integrate into classrooms to support social and emotional learning, fostering a positive and inclusive school climate.
- Collaborates with school staff to provide tiered support through PBIS and MTSS frameworks, addressing student attendance, behavior, and emotional challenges.
- Works directly with students and families, offering individualized and group support to help meet behavioral, social, and emotional goals.
- Organizes and facilitates family meetings, parent/caregiver professional development, and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) programs.
- Maintains records, prepares reports, and coordinates with community resources to ensure students and families receive necessary support and services.
